Work never stops for the SURPRISE partners and the last couple of weeks were particularly hectic.
We started with the project technical review meeting on September 26th. An intense and fruitful day, where we presented and discussed research advances and outcomes with our project officer from the European Commission and external reviewers, gathering many precious inputs for our upcoming activities.
Right after the review meeting, our partner Saitec took off to the Netherlands, to participate in the ESA Industry Space Days 2022 on 28th and 29th September. This is a key event for the space community, focusing on goods and technologies for multiple space applications.
Just a few days later, we landed in Dubrovnik (HR) for the ESA’s International Conference on Space Optics (ICSO) 2022, open from 3rd to 7th October 2022. This is the largest event worldwide for experts working in all disciplines of optical, optoelectronic and photonic technologies for space applications. SURPRISE was on stage at this 14th edition, with various papers presented by our project coordinator IFAC and project partners CSEM and IPMS.
No time for rest after these busy days…on the way home from Dubrovnik a great news was waiting for us: SURPRISE has been accepted for the Horizon Result Booster (HRB) service! Together with HRB experts, we will work to take project results forward and ensure long-term impacts for Earth Observation in years to come.
Ready to roll-up our sleeves and start this new exciting activity!
